NeighborScope (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a neighborhood intelligence tool operated by SnapOwner LLC (EIN 41-5347042), a Delaware limited liability company. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Address searches: We log addresses you scan to improve results and detect abuse. Addresses are associated with an anonymous device ID, not your name or email.
Device ID: We generate a random UUID stored in your browser's localStorage. This is not linked to your identity.
Usage data: Vercel (our hosting provider) collects standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. We do not sell this data.
No account required: NeighborScope does not require registration. We do not collect your name, email, or phone number for free tier use.
NeighborScope displays data from public sources including the FBI, US Census Bureau, FEMA, OpenStreetMap, NOAA, NASA, and others. We do not control the accuracy of this data. Links to source data are provided where possible.
If you purchase a premium subscription, payment is processed by Stripe (PWA) or Apple/Google (iOS/Android). We do not store your credit card details. We retain your subscription status and purchase history.
We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your device ID and cached scan results. No third-party tracking cookies are used. We do not use Google Analytics or similar trackers.
NeighborScope is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Address search logs are retained for 90 days then deleted. Device IDs and subscription records are retained for the life of the account.
You may request deletion of your data by emailing privacy@neighborscope.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We may update this policy. Continued use of NeighborScope after changes constitutes acceptance.
